Level 1: repetitive drills performed at half speed, simple choreography, low kicks to knee level only
Level 2: "layers" are added to drills for more variation, performed to tempo, kicks raise to waste level after proper form is mastered
Level 3: for the advanced practitioner or athlete

OUTLINE AND AGENDA:
Kickboxing Technique Applied to Group Exercise
2.5 hours lecture total + 2.5 hours practical total = 3.75 total CEC’s Possible Cost: $99.00
COURSE GOALS: At the end of this course you will be able to:
- teach authentic martial arts technique and form in your kickboxing groupexercise class which adhere to safety recommendations of AFAA and ACSMspecific to group exercise
- build authentic fighting combinations based on real martial arts concepts andwork them into your group exercise choreography
- Use appropriate tempo for each segment of your class to increase power andintensity
- Use choreography blocking to your advantage in order to make your cueing easyto follow by working inside music metering consisting of 32 count measurescomposed of four 8 count bars
- Give a multi-level class by modifying all movements for general populationparticipants in level 1, 2, or 3
- Explore the creative use of downbeats and upbeats for fun, original combinations
- Build gym member attendance by exhibiting unity and consistency of terminologybetween instructors
